This document provides the view of Telcordia on the generic
requirements for 1.544 Mb/s High Capacity Digital Service (HCDS) electrical and
physical parameters at the Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) Network Interface (NI)
with an End User (EU). It also provides the information necessary to support
deployment of HCDS, with the digital signals transmitted to and from the NI
differing as a function of the circuit configuration. For compatible operation
of registered equipment at the Customer Interface (CI), the information
contained in this GR is in compliance with Part 68 of the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) Rules and Regulations, and ANSI T1.403-1995, "American National
Standard for Telecommunications - Network-to-Customer Installation-DS1 Metallic
Interface."
The following documents were fully or partly replaced by GR-54:
TR-NPL-000054, PUB-62411, PUB-62411A, PUB-41451, and PUB-41451A.
When using GR-54, you may need to refer to TR-NWT-000341. You may also
want to refer to GR-1, GR-312, GR-342, GR-436, GR-499,
EIA/TIA 568, and/or several ANSI T1-series standards.
