ABSTRACT: Quality can be defined as the satisfaction of customer expectations for both products and service, including product fitness for use.
Therefore, attention to schedule commitments and service as well as delivering desired functionality with minimal defects is required.
This Generic Requirements (GR) document describes the Telcordia set of Object Oriented Process Metrics (OOPMs) that could be
implemented during the development and maintenance of Object Oriented (OO) software by a supplier for a typical Local Exchange Carrier
(LEC) or other Service Provider.
The GR describes a set of OO metrics that will focus attention on aspects of quality and will establish a framework to clarify
customer and supplier expectations, develop measurements and controls, and provide a mechanism by which assurances (through
measurement) can be communicated to suppliers' organizations and to the customers where required.
