Generic Requirements for Customer Moves of ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) Service
Document Number GR-3018
Issue Number 01
Issue Date Jan 2000
ABSTRACT: Issue 1 of GR-3018, Generic Requirements for Customer Moves of ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) Service, contains the Telcordia
Technologies view of proposed generic requirements for the Automatic Moves of Customer Premises Equipment feature. The feature will
automatically relocate directory numbers and features from one Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Basic Rate Interface (BRI) to
another when the end user moves the ISDN terminal equipment. The initialization of the terminal on the new interface causes the
reassignment of translation data associated with the terminal from the originally assigned interface to the interface it has been moved
to. Movement is restricted to within predefined Move Groups that can be activated and deactivated, providing control over when and
where moves can occur.
The Automatic Moves feature gives the end user the ability to manage service within a given location in real time without the need
for inconvenient and costly wiring changes or service provider involvement.
