ABSTRACT: GR-324, Issue 1, focuses on generic requirements and operational aspects of Maintenance Termination Units (MTUs) that, in the view of
Telcordia, are needed for proper service and maintenance performance. An MTU that meets the criteria herein will be compatible with a
Local Test Desk (LTD), Mechanized Loop Testing (MLT and MLT-2), and other test systems that incorporate the MTU test capability. For a
detailed discussion of this subject, refer to Section 2.2 of the GR document.
GR-324 replaced TR-TSY-000324 and PUB-55022.
When using GR-324, you may need to refer to GR-78, SR-332, GR-1089, GR-2834, and IEEE 743. You may also need to
refer to GR-357, TA-NPL-000921 (canceled), GR-1252, IEEE 455, and/or ANSI/NFPA 70 (the NEC).
