This Technical Reference (TR) covers generic requirements for
Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) on AC power circuits that in the view of
Telcordia are needed for proper service and maintenance performance. The SPDs
are intended for indoor use at the service entrance location, installed on the
load side of the AC power service disconnect, operating at rated voltages of 600
Vrms or less, for single-phase or three-phase systems.
