ABSTRACT: This Technical Reference (TR) describes an interface between loop carrier systems and loop testing systems. This interface is applicable to the testing of single party, multiparty, and coin telephone services provided over loop carrier systems that interface with local switching systems on an analog basis. The information in this TR will allow manufacturers of loop carrier systems and manufacturers of loop testing systems to independently design their systems to be compatible with each other and with present loop testing procedures.
