    ABSTRACT: This document provides the view of Telcordia on proposed generic requirements for the Call Park feature for both Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) and analog platforms.

    The Call Park feature allows a user (parking party) to interrupt voice or voiceband data communications on an existing call, and then re-establish communications from the same or different terminal equipment. Calls may be parked against or retrieved from the parking party's Directory Number (DN) or any other DN within the same Call Park Subscriber Group (CPSG).

    When a call is parked, the Stored Program Control switching System (SPCS) clears the call towards the parking party and retains the connection with the parked party. The parking party is then available to place or receive subsequent calls.
