ABSTRACT: This Technical Reference (TR) provides the Telcordia view of generic requirements and objectives for optical fiber identifiers that should be met in order to meet the typical needs of Local Exchange Carriers (LECs). The TR includes general operational and mechanical requirements and objectives, performance requirements and objectives, and performance tests to compare optical fiber identifiers against the stated requirements.
